Ykonos system in Sescam (Castile|La Mancha Healthcare Service)

The first global project for digital medical imaging implemented in Spain, Ykonos has been implemented by Indra in the Healthcare System of Castilla La-Mancha.

YCONOS

This digital medical imaging system, operational in all of the region's hospitals and Specialization Centers, makes it possible for x-rays, ultrasound scans, and other diagnosis tests to no longer be delivered to the patient in paper format, and instead to be sent in digital format, along with their corresponding report, via an internal network that may be accessed from any other center in the region.

In order to control this system, the Toledo Digital Medical Imaging Center of Excellence was inaugurated in January of 2010. It is connected to all of the hospitals and specialization centers in this Autonomous Community, making it possible to monitor, from its facilities, all of the programme's operations, provide on-line support, or remotely calibrate the diagnosis stations, among other functions.

Additionally, the center is established as a reference in innovation and development, where it is possible to perform validation tasks of new tools and equipment, project integration tests, the integration of new specializations, technological update of the existing systems, as well as the development of other functionalities.
