Indra is present in Australia through its subsidiary Interscan Navigation Systems (INS), which is dedicated to the design and integration of air navigation land assistance equipment and systems (radio navigation aids).

Worldwide leader in ATM
On August 31, 2007, Indra acquired 100% of the Interscan navigation systems with the aim of complementing its worldwide leadership position in air traffic control systems (ATM), after entering the Asia-Pacific market where, in recent years, it has intensified its presence with control contracts in China, Indonesia or Thailand.
In Australia, Indra is committed to expanding Interscan's capabilities and invested AUD$10 million in a R&D program during 2008 and 2009. The company offers clients complete installation, training, and support services, as well as provision of support and repairs for existing equipment.
