Major IT player
Indra has been present in the Philippines since 1995 and is one of the leading IT companies providing services and solutions in the country and in Southeast Asia. It has over 600 professionals and a Software Production Center acting as a state-of-the-art R&D laboratory.
Aside from its consolidated presence in the Energy and Utilities sector, Indra has important developments in other markets in the Philippines, such as Transport and Traffic, where it implements large-scale projects. Among these are worth mentioning the awarding by Manila North Tollways Co for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of the new toll control solution for its Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) concession, the longest highway in the Philippines, as well as its integration within the system that Indra recently implemented for the highway that interconnects and accesses Metro Manila from the north, the North Luzón Expressway (NLEX). Likewise, Indra has also implemented the new, advanced Metro Manila urban traffic control center, designed and deployed by the company using cutting edge technology, with the Hermes smart traffic management system at its heart.
Indra also has in the Philippines relevant projects in other sectors, like Healthcare -the company has implemented a global health system for the most important hospital in the Philippines, the Makati Medical Center- or for the Public Sector -Indra has completed the modernization of the administration of justice for the Supreme Court of Justice of the Philippines- among others.
