Tecnología avanzada de control de tráfico urbano para China 2

Advanced urban traffic monitoring technology for China

Changde, Guilin, Korla (Bazhou) and Liaocheng have placed their trust in Indra's systems, with solutions having been implemented in the Chonqing tunnels and on several Chinese motorways, which has consolidated its international presence in the sector

The company's experience in urban traffic control is now serving China with four projects covering the design, development, implementation and launch of the traffic control centres for each of these four cities, equipped with intelligent traffic monitoring systems, signage and traffic light systems, closed circuit TV surveillance (CCTV), speed controls, offence management and user information systems, among other features.

The Indra solution will enable real time monitoring of all systems and continuous tracking of the evolution of traffic, which will lead to increased safety, optimisation of the flow of vehicles and a reduction in travelling times, costs and environmental impact. Also, the use of systems for tracking red light offences through automatic registration plate recognition and an offence management system, will help the police to control and penalise offences. As it is a modular system, it can be adapted to client needs, as well as to new requirements or any communications system.

The technology being implemented by the company also meets the latest national and international specifications for urban traffic management and mobility. For example, Indra is one of the six companies whose traffic light regulator has been certified to the new Chinese standard GB-25280.

The project will enhance Indra's presence in the urban traffic sector, with projects in cities such as San Sebastián, in Spain; Las Condes, in Chile; or Curitiba in Brazil, an international benchmark in sustainable urban traffic management. It also consolidates its presence in China, where it has been active since 1997, having had a subsidiary company in Beijing since 2002, from where the expansion into the Asia-Pacific region is managed.
