Modernization of the Philippines Supreme Court of Justice
Indra has successfully concluded a year-long contract with the Philippines Supreme Court, the highest court in the country and holder of the Judicial Branch, to design and develop the management and systems model to modernize the judicial administration. This project is a first internationally for the company in the legal field in a non-Latin American country.

The contract comes within the agreement signed between the Philippines Supreme Court and the International Bank of Reconstruction and Development (IBRD-World Bank) financing a program aimed at reforming and automating the administration of justice in the Philippine Islands.
The start-up of the five-year strategic plan, 2010-2014, designed by Indra, will noticeably speed up the entry, processing and access of data in dossiers, increase security and control of information, reduce the waiting times to try cases, and help to define quality indicators in the work. The above will provide the Supreme Court with a knowledge of the real situation and an improvement to the operation of the courts which are spread all over the country.
Work includes the study of the needs of the Judicial Branch in the field of CIT, the development and implementation of a systems plan, identifying the resources required for start-up, and implementing a restructuring program in the Information Systems Management Department of the Supreme Court, responsible for developing information and communication technology for the judicial branch in the Philippines.
The project team has been congratulated by the clients, the Supreme Court of Justice and the World Bank, whose branch in the country has issued a report praising highly the work done by Indra. In addition, the Judicial Branch has been advised to continue working in the future with a company thoroughly acquainted with the ways in which the Justice department of the country should act in order to achieve its goal of improving effectiveness and efficiency of the courts, and improve trust in the legal system, as it is a basic requirement to help increase business confidence to invest in the country.
