Indra's technology is contributing to the creation of a new educational model that is committed to using digital contents as elements over which to implement teaching-learning processes for its students, the digital natives. It also creates cooperation environments for the teaching community, favouring scale economies and establishing standards that ensure a balanced quality level for all the students, and enable the teacher to take advantage of good practices.

AGREGA is the result of an exemplary agreement between the public entities in charge of education and production of digital educational content in Spain, that has met the teaching community needs: having an independent platform developed through free software (EUPL licence) which is absolutely easy to integrate with the existing e-learning platforms. It offers great ease of use in recycling all the efforts made to create educational content up to now, without limiting their evolution capacity.

AGREGA's main benefits are:

• Free access to quality educational contents, validated by teachers and according to the educational curriculum needs/competences. 
• Free access to tools that ensure the production of new contents in accordance with standards that simplify its sharing and integration with other systems. 
• Free access to a space to share proprietary educational content with other colleagues from the teaching community, and to search for and download contents in diverse formats and with Creative Commons licence.

Moreover, the project allows federating repositories of diverse organizations to give AGREGA's users the impression of a single content library.

AGREGA's Web has 2 million visits, benefits more than 7 million students and keeps 500,000 public centers networked. It has more than 3 million lines of code and is the result of an 80,000-hour development effort.

AGREGA aims at fostering a sustainable model that allows evolution in the teaching and learning processes within the classroom.
With AGREGA, you can FIND and DOWNLOAD educational content and PARTICIPATE in its creation through several means that enable standardizing and classifying contents.

Agrega's code has been handed over to the UK Government so that it can develop a similar platform,  the National Digital Resource Bank (NDRB), and it has been assessed as an innovative product with a clear positive impact on education, being awarded a silver medal in the last IMS Learning Awards contest.
