Electricité d'Haïti (EDH), the electric company of the Caribbean country, has entrusted Indra with the modernization of its commercial and distribution areas, by implementing network incident and commercial management systems, as well as the assembly of a data processing center that will support the corporate applications.

The commercial management system will simplify the integration of all the business processes of the electric company (contracting, reading, invoicing and collection), whereas the incident management system shall speed up damage localization within the network and supply the necessary information to perform the required corrective actions.

The project aims at improving the operative deficiencies and the reliability of the Haitian electric system through the incorporation of new technologies. In this way, we pretend to achieve a sustainable improvement of service quality for Haitians, increase the population access to the electric energy service and strengthen EDH, both operatively and financially.

This agreement falls within the framework of the Loss Reduction Project in the Electric Sector (PREPSEL), which is managed by the International Development Association (IDA) and financed by the World Bank with a donation of USD$6m.
