Indra creates the first financial search engine based on semantic technology.

The project is part of the AVANZA R&D program of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, with the collaboration of the Instituo de Empresa (Business Institute).

Indra and the University Carlos III of Madrid and the University of Murcia (Spain) have completed the development of the first information search engine aimed at the finance and stock market sector, based on semantic technology. Unlike conventional search engines, SONAR, as was named the project, makes it possible to perform structured searches, in other words, searches that are not simply based on the concordance of a series of key words.

Training for BBVA

As part of its efforts to be the "technological ally" of its clients, Indra has made the commitment to become the e-learning service provider for the BBVA group with a comprehensive BPO model. Indra is responsible for the operation of the entire training process, that includes but is not restricted to the technological part.

The e-learning solutions installed by Indra at BBVA have achieved satisfactory results, both for the entity as well as its employees.

Our IT technology-based training solutions have been implemented in Spain and in the other countries where BBVA is established. This project has entailed more than 100,000 training actions for more than 50,000 employees in one year alone.
