ICMm-Advance Communications Interface for wholesalers and retailers
Project of the call Advanza R+D: co-financed by the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade and the European Regional Development Fund - ERDF, within the strategic action on Telecommunications and Information Society.

The objective of the project is the development of an advance interface of communications that allows to offer products and tourist services (tourist packages, hotels, cars, cruises, etc.) managed by the companies of the partnership to tour operators, retail travel agencies, electronic commerce websites and other suppliers of tourist services.

The interchange protocol adopted for the development is OTA. This protocol is used by the main companies of the sector and supported by the organization Open Travel Alliance with the primary objective to create the structure to exchange information that ensure communications between different systems in the tourism industry

Recognizing that this protocol is in continuous evolution and that at present does not gather all the problematic associated to the Spanish tourist sector, the project proposes the evolution to adapt it to the special needs tourist sector.

The use of a standard of exchange of information will allow to improve the productivity and competitiveness of the companies on the sector, mainly SMEs, and in this way to reduce the costs of integration and development.

• The intention of the development is to fulfill the following conditioners:
• To reflect the changes of the processes of business of the companies of the partnership being integrated new products and services.
• To reflect these changes in a platform of services based on transactions XML.
• To define new backoffice services developed like complementary to the System of Inventory, auxiliary Manager of contents and services.
• To develop to an architecture of services in high availability philosophy.
