Diraya, star of the Andalusian Healthcare Service
Diraya is the information system that the Andalusian Public Healthcare System uses as the information medium and for the management of healthcare in its regional health network.

Diraya integrates all the information of each citizen, regardless of the professional or the healthcare area that generates it, in a single medical history, available wherever and whenever it may be needed for providing care.
The medical history model makes it possible to consult and note data in all of the healthcare devices and levels: primary care, specialized care, emergencies and hospitalization. Thanks to this system, healthcare professionals that attend the same patient have access to the medical information from any healthcare center in the Andalusian region, as long as it is authorized by the user. The citizen healthcare card is the "key" that provides access to the single medical history.
Access to the health system's services and care is made easier with Diraya.
Diraya makes it possible to control the flow of patients in order to efficiently coordinate all of the required actions for the diagnosis and treatment of each process.
All of the relevant information is structured. Compared to the systems that simply combine the various records produced in caring for a citizen, the application design in Diraya uses tables, codes, and common catalogues that are the result of professional consensus. All of this makes it possible to incorporate expert assistance systems for patient diagnosis and treatment, and the homogeneous and comparable use of information, which may be applied towards generating knowledge, for research, and for clinical and resource management.
