CBRN experience

Indra possesses the necessary know-how, highly qualified staff and experience in the field of CBRN to carry out extensive projects in this area.

We count on a set of reference projects to illustrate our experience and capabilities in the most relevant fields such as Development of Systems (Radioactive Warning Network (RAR) for Spanish Civil Protection Agency or Mobile Deplorable Deployable CBRN Laboratory for MoD of Turkey), Advanced sensors (R&T program for development of Chemical & Explosive Stand-off Detector) or Specific Software (Development of Requirements and Architecture for the future joint EU CBRN CIS System for the European Defence Agency -EDA)

CBRN programs

The cornerstone of our offer is the development of solutions tailored to meet the needs of the customer. The CBRN products offering provided by Indra are covering the whole spectrum of application fields in the CBRN domain.

The most relevant application fields to which this company is providing some key solutions are the following:

  • Reconnaissance: Our CBRN reconnaissance solutions are based on customer-defined platforms designed to minimize the response time in emergencies and equipped with sampling, detection, protection, marking and identification systems.
  • Identification: Our identification vehicles are based on standard military shelter platforms or vans, and can operate in CBRN hostile environments supporting reconnaissance units. There are able to identify at site CBRN and explosive agents from any source and transport them in safe conditions to any further Reference Laboratory.
  • Protection: Our Protection systems comprises different solutions aimed to prevent personnel and equipment from contact with CBRN and explosive treats. Those are mostly intended to withstand physically the hazard as well as ensure healthy conditions for air and water.
  • Decontamination: Our decontamination systems are suitable for intervening personnel and contaminated sensitive equipment, vehicles and victims. The specific decontamination capabilities can be adapted to customer requirements, and all equipment is set up in containers for rapid deployment. Our systems are also suitable to set up decontamination equipment in hospitals in the event of a CBRN emergency.
  • C4I Integration: Indra are highly specialized in developing specific C4I systems for management of CBRN Information provided by any kind of CBRN asset.
    This C4I systems are mostly aimed to Our CBRN systems can be integrated within command and control networks. Common integration projects involve:
    • Management of CBRN events from a command and control center
    • Communications with reconnaissance, identification and decontamination systems
