Port communities in Morocco

Indra, in a consortium with Portel and with the collaboration of the Barcelona Port Authority, will design and put into operation the platform that will allow the various agents of the Morocco port community to interact electronically. This will speed up port-of-call management, goods handling and passenger traffic, improving the competitiveness of the Moroccan logistics/port network.

The Indra-Portel consortium will install the PortNet platform in the Casablanca port, which is the country's most important in terms of volume of goods and traffic, and it will be backed up by a support center to guarantee its operation at all times.

The system will provide service to the country's 12 main ports, allowing the complex network of more than one thousand port agents that intervene in port operations (port authorities, harbour master's offices, shipowner consignees, customs, healthcare authorities, exporters and importers, banks, etc.) to exchange information electronically in an effective manner.

Aside from the installation, the project includes all of the support services for the PortNet platform use during an initial period of 24 months.
