Aena’s centralised AODB

Aena, the Spanish airport operator which manages a network of 48 airports, implemented a centralised AODB developed by Indra.

A centralised AODB is a modified version of the conventional AODB which, mainly, is able to support multiple airports’ operations. It contains scheduling, real-time, resource management, billing, reporting and administration modules.

A centralised AODB provides important IT and operational savings by means of concentrating computer power and staff. For Aena the total cost savings were around 20% of the total cost of ownership.

More than 20 airports in the Aena network are managed through the centralised AODB solution. Aena’s centralised AODB is hosted in more than 30 virtualized servers which are located in two different centres in Madrid.
