10 Principles We Are Committed To
In 2004, Indra signed the United Nations’ Global Compact. The United Nations Global Compact is an ethical commitment initiative so that companies in all of the countries will adopt, as an integral part of their strategy and their operations, ten principles of conduct and action regarding human rights, labour standards and the environment.
Principio Principle One. Companies should support and respect the protection of internationally acknowledged basic human rights within their sphere of influence.
Principle Two.
Companies should ensure they are not accomplices to human rights abuses.
Principle Three.
Companies should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective negotiation.
Principle Four.
Companies should uphold the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour.
Principle Five.
Companies should support the abolition of child labour.
Principle Six.
Companies should support the abolition of employment and occupation discrimination practices.
Principle Seven.
Companies should favour a preventive approach to environmental risk.
Principle Eight.
Companies should foster initiatives that promote greater environmental responsibility.
Principle Nine.
Companies should encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Principle Ten.
Companies should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
Just as is required in the Global Compact, Indra periodically prepares a progress report regarding the advances obtained in establishing the 10 principles.
