A significant part of Indra's activity consists in developing customized software for its clients. Therefore, Indra is aware of the fact that in order to increase its productivity as a company and, ultimately, its competitiveness, it has to maintain a permanent strategy of constant improvement in its software development processes.

Indra carries out different initiatives in the areas of code reuse, automatic code generation, use of non-localized resources, etc., to focus on reducing production- and software delivery time, reducing costs and improving quality.

Industrialization of production

The goal of a sustainable production that is adapted according to costs, time, scope and quality is dependent on the industrialization of production.  Well-defined and deep-rooted processes in the organization, solid and mature technical mechanisms backed up by tools that enable end-to-end traceability of the development life cycle, and a predictable repetitiveness confer a high degree of maturity to the industrialization of software at Indra. Certificates such as CMMi in which Indra has been a pioneer, combined with a large number of PMPs leading the management of projects, reinforce this important characteristic by generating development capacity, standardization, result prediction and quality assurance.
