Indra's methods offer clear guidelines and criteria to start up processes in the different situations required by the diversity of the business. It is essential to have the right Management Systems in order to insure the effectiveness of these methods.

For this purpose, our Management Systems offer solid, automated support to successfully execute the company's methods, thus guaranteeing process compliance. All this makes up the formal management structure at Indra, which is closely related to the quality structure and based on the ideas of sustainability and innovation.

1. Indra Project Management Method (MIGP in Spanish)

MIGP provides those in charge with an instrument to effectively manage the different types of projects under their responsibility, which allows Indra to have a common language and terminology.

In addition, Indra's project management system gives the company the visibility required for project evolution and status, and plays a role in improving results, offering more support to projects and ultimately providing our clients with better solutions and services.

The MIGP'S project management life cycle is based on the international benchmark defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Indra, Leader in PMP Certification

Indra is aware of the fact that in order to maintain the highest standards in project management, it is not enough to have a demanding methodology; it is also essential to have the best professionals. That is why, since 2005, Indra has maintained a firm commitment to project management training, positioning us as one of the Spanish companies with the largest number of PMP (Project Management Professional) certified employees by the PMI. We currently have nearly 200 certified professionals, and the objective is to raise this figure to 500 PMPs by the year 2012.

In 2007, Indra Sistemas became the first Spanish company recognized by PMI as one of the 25 most outstanding organizations in the world in project management, along with Intel, NASA, IBM, WiPro, Shell or Peking's Olympic Games organization, among others. Moreover, since 2009, Indra has been a part of the EMEA Corporate Networking Group (ECNG) created by PMI, whose purpose is to disseminate and share good practices among its organizations.

2. MIDAS: an innovative method at the service of productivity and sustainability

The objective of the Indra Method for Development, Adaptation and Services (MIDAS in Spanish) is to organize the performance of activities for their application in projects. The method covers all the stages of the information technology business and is integrated with Indra’s project management processes.

MIDAS is an integrated solution covering the level of definition and communication, and the levels of implementation and productivity as close as possible to the actual work process. In addition, the client can integrate its own work practices, which enriches and bestows greater value to management.

MIDAS provides productivity tools to ease the technical implementation, planning and monitoring of projects, as well as the system for reporting and obtaining metrics.

The design of the Indra method is completely innovative, since the entire MIDAS support is provided online, which translates into:

  • The generation and continuous, dynamic improvement of contents and case studies.
  • Focusing Indra's know-how for use in projects, which boosts innovation, thanks to cross-knowledge application.
  • The minimization of hard copies and the optimization of the use of energy-efficient mediums, along with the subsequent environmental benefit involved.

MIDAS offers a system to keep track of the quality standards that Indra has committed to, based on milestones and checklists. The ISO 9000, CMMi 2, 3 and 4, ITIL, ISO 20000 and PMBOK® standards are incorporated into the system.
