INITIATIVE OBJECTIVE


Innovation and entrepreneurship are key in allowing our society to continue to progress and find answers to new global challenges. At Indra, we believe that innovation allows us to write the future, and entrepreneurship makes our dreams a reality.

Our commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship has led us to support those that share our passion for technology and dream with being entrepreneurs.

Which is why we have created THINK ABOUT INNOVATING, a digital meeting point for anyone interested in innovation and technology that has been developed to allow for the generation of business ideas based on technology.Ideas for creating new products or services that do not exist yet.


PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS


Participants must be individuals of legal age. They may submit their ideas on an individual basis. You can submit as many ideas as you like. Each idea must be submitted separately and will be evaluated independently.

Submitted ideas must be original, not correspond to products or services that currently exist on the market and have the potential to become a feasible business. Applied technologies are not restricted to a specific field.

The necessary information for evaluating the idea will correspond to the technological and functional innovations provided as well as the market or potential markets for application. Those ideas that are more feasible to put into practice and with a more solid technological component will be more highly valued. When entering the title for the idea, it is recommended to write a brief description or one that is as precise as possible, up to 500 characters, and the reasoning may be completed with documents associated from Slideshare, YouTube or Flickr.


"THINK ABOUT INNOVATING" USER OBLIGATIONS


Since THINK ABOUT INNOVATING is a meeting point with the objective of sharing and assessing ideas and proposals related to innovation and technology that has been developed to allow for the generation of business ideas based on technology, users are required to make diligent use in accordance with this objective.

Indra is not responsible for the incorrect use of this meeting point or of the contents included in it, as each user is responsible for the correct use and legality of the contents and opinions that he/she shares.

Therefore, Indra reserves the right to limit access to THINK ABOUT INNOVATING to opinions, information, comments or documents that users wish to add, and it may install filters for this purpose. All of this will be done with the goal of preserving the fundamental objective.

It is prohibited to use THINK ABOUT INNOVATING for purposes other than to share, debate or assess ideas and proposals, and it is specifically prohibited to:


  • Share any type of content that may be considered a violation in any way of the fundamental rights to the honour, image and personal and familiar intimacy of third parties.
  • Share images or photographs that include images or personal data of third parties without having obtained their corresponding consent.
  • Share any content that violates secret communications, the infraction of industrial and intellectual property rights or of regulatory personal data protection standards.
  • Reproduce, distribute, share contents, information or images that have been made available by other users without their express authorisation.
  • Use it against the interests of INDRA or of any other user.
  • Use it for advertising purposes.

Carrying out any of the actions described above will allow Indra to automatically cancel access, without prejudice to other responsibilities that may be claimed.


USE OF THE APPLICATION


Participants may access and browse through the application freely and anonymously. Users will only be asked to enter their credentials when they want to carry out an action that affects the contest (create, support or comment an idea). Users must register in order to obtain their credentials.

The platform is available in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Users may select any of the three languages and their idea or comment will be published in the selected language.

Users may interact with the tool in the following ways:


  • Sharing an idea. Each user may create one or more idea; there is no limit. All ideas will be reviewed prior to publication in a maximum of 48 hours. The participant will receive an email confirming the release of his idea or explaining the reasons for his dismissal in the event that his idea has not been published.
  • Supporting ideas created by other users. The ideas will appear with the number of supports received.
  • Commenting the ideas of other users. Each idea may be commented by other users, who may discuss their supporting reasons or submit improvements.

CONDITIONS FOR PROPOSING IDEAS TO INDRA


These conditions govern the applicable terms for the content submitted by www.indracompany.com/piensaeninnovar portal users through the corresponding form (hereinafter, the Content). These conditions apply to the content initially submitted to Indra as well as any content sent afterwards or notified to Indra either verbally or in writing, unless the parts have signed a new contractual document that governs this matter.


  • Non-confidentiality: All the content submitted by the user to Indra will be subject to be known by the general public. Therefore, Indra will handle this content as non-confidential information.
  • Procedure: If Indra is interested in the content that has been submitted by the user, it will contact the user to request additional information. This information will also be non-confidential, without prejudice that if the parties consider it to be necessary to exchange confidential information, the corresponding Confidentiality Agreement will be signed.

    Indra reserves the right to not contact with users that have submitted Content. All without prejudice to what is established in the section regarding "Intellectual Property Rights."

    If Indra, at its full discretion, decides to contact certain users, those individuals are aware and accept that this does not entail any commitment whatsoever from Indra.

  • Negotiation: Indra, at its discretion, will decide whether to continue with the process and sign a possible Collaboration Agreement with a user that has submitted Content that may be of interest to Indra, as well as to cancel possible negotiations that have commenced with certain users. All without prejudice to what is established in the section regarding "Intellectual Property Rights."
  • Ownership of intellectual and industrial property rights: A user that provides Content states, by accepting these Conditions, to be the owner of the intellectual and/or industrial property rights or to hold sufficient rights over the corresponding content and that the content is submitted to Indra voluntarily.
  • The ownership of each and every Content submitted that is protected or may be protected by Industrial and Intellectual Property Rights corresponds to the authors and/or owners of those Contents.
  • Indra does not assume any sort of responsibility, either direct or indirect, regarding any type of controversy, dispute and/or litigation that may arise from the publication, disclosure and/or dissemination of the submitted Content without the prior consent of the legitimate owner(s).
  • Advertising or dissemination of submitted Content: The participants of THINK ABOUT INNOVATING state to understand and accept the fact that the information provided may be published in the www.indracompany.com/piensaeninnovar website as well as in other mediums that the organisation considers appropriate so as to make this initiative known.
  • Regarding intellectual and industrial property: Indra will respect all Intellectual or Industrial Property Rights for the Content submitted by users. The individual or legal entity that provides the content will have exclusive responsibility of protecting the Content submitted to Indra in the manner deemed appropriate.

    By simply receiving the Content, Indra does not receive from the user any sort of intellectual or industrial property permission, and so it will not use the Content except with the express consent of the Content's owner.

  • Material not returned: Indra has not obligation to return the Content submitted by users.
  • Legal Age: Before submitting Content to Indra, users state to be over the age of 18.
  • Applicable law: These conditions will be governed by Spanish legislation. Any legal procedure or related dispute that arises will be subject to the jurisdiction of Madrid courts.

IDEA EVALUATION CRITERIA


Ideas will be evaluated by a jury of experts and by other users.

The following will be taken into consideration when evaluating the ideas:


  • Degree of innovation: Submitted ideas must be original and have significant differentiating factors compared to the products or services that currently exist on the market.(50 points)
  • Applied technology: Technology is not restricted to a specific field, and the project's technological solidity will be valued. (25 points)
  • Commercial feasibility: The opportunity to undertake the idea and its commercial potential will be valued. (25 points)

AWARDS


Proposed ideas will be assessed in two different ways:

  1. By a jury of experts: they will vote to select the three ideas with the most commercial potential to become a feasible business based on the evaluation criteria mentioned above.
  2. By other users: the three winner ideas will be those that have obtained the greatest number of supports.

Panel Prize

: The three ideas selected by the jury of experts will receive a prize of a business plan design based on the idea. Indra will provide its human and intellectual capital as well as its work methodology to study how to promote the idea and make it a reality. The jury's price may be declared null.


User Community Prize

: The three ideas most supported by users will receive a prize of an iPad2 (64Gb, Wi-Fi+3G, not including a micro SIM card or a data plan) and an Indra Experience consisting of a flight in a helicopter simulator developed by Indra and a meal for two.

  • 15/12/2011: Contest begins
  • 01/02/2012: Idea proposal deadline

PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION POLICY


Access to THINK ABOUT INNOVATING involves registering with a small amount of personal data (name, e-mail address and country) and also offers users who prefer for their contributions to be anonymous the option of appearing with a pseudonym. In compliance with the Organic Law 15/1999 of 13 December on Personal Data Protection (LOPD), the professional data collected in the registration stage will be included in a personal data file owned by Indra Sistemas, S.A., with the exclusive purpose of administering the website created for THINK ABOUT INNOVATING.

Unless otherwise stated within a period of 30 days, it is understood that the user consents to the processing described earlier.

The user may exercise the rights to access, rectify, cancel and oppose, as specified in the LOPD, by sending written notification to the Labour Relations Department or Departamento de Relaciones Laborales at Indra Sistemas, S.A. (Headquarters: Avenida de Bruselas, 33-35, 28108 Alcobendas-Madrid), accompanied by a copy of their DNI national identification document.


ABOUT THE PARTICIPATION TERMS AND THE PRIVACY POLICY


Indra reserves the right to review these participation terms and the privacy policy at any time and for any reason. If this occurs, registered users will be notified through this online space and if they continue using the digital meeting point, it will be understood that they accept the modifications that have been made.
