Currently, Indra has an impressive innovation capacity, with high-qualified professionals with expertise in the latest technologies used in Defense, Transport and Traffic. As a result of knowledge transfer from military simulation we have developed:
Surgery Navigation and Simulation Platform:
This surgical navigator prototype system provides to physicians the guidance and control of surgery, based on a preliminary planning, which includes virtual references, optimal paths and measurement of volumes and distances.
This fact allows us to import state of the art advances in technology as well as improvement of production processes and management models.

Collaborative diagnostics
This solution links all the available information about a patient (the Electronic Medical Record) and presents it in a way that allows several physicians to share clinical information and improve the diagnostic procedures. A strong communications back end allows access to all the information available about a patient: prior history, recent tests, current treatments. An advanced interface makes it easy for physicians and patients to retrieve and update information, highlight issues and share with other specialists locally or remotely.
These types of tools will allow for improved diagnostics (making the best doctors available remotely for the most difficult cases), reduced costs (avoiding transportation costs for patients, reducing the number of duplicate tests) and higher convenience for patients (allowing for remote access to all information about treatments and continuous feedback, which is particularly relevant for chronic patients).
