He joined SAPA in the early 90s. Jokin develops the corporate area of the company while participating in the promotion of the international area, especially China and North America, where he focuses on the legal area and alliances with international groups. He is currently CEO of SAPA Placencia Holding, S.L., as well as of the other companies that make up the SAPA Group.

In recent years, he has focused his efforts on the development of SAPA Transmission, a subsidiary located in the U.S.A. and the origin of the company in the country. He focuses his work on alliances with the country's main manufacturers General Dynamics and BAE System, in addition to the Department of Defense, the US Army and other multinationals such as Cummins and Honeywell.

He has been one of the main drivers of the company's transformation along with his brother. From being a company that works under license in the manufacture of heavy vehicle mobility systems, to developing its own product through a strong investment in innovation and development. Today, SAPA is a world technological leader in this technology.

President of Real Sociedad de Fútbol, SAD

Jokin took office at a Shareholders' Meeting held on December 20, 2008. Real was in the second tier of Spanish soccer and had filed for bankruptcy protection. The arrival of Jokin Aperribay and his board of directors marked a turning point.

During his term of office, the team has been promoted to the First Division, has competed in Europe and is working on new projects to ensure the Club's stability over the next few years.
