  • Minsait, an Indra company, thus positions itself as a pioneer in the use of the TMMi model, given that it’s the only company in the Information Technology (IT) sector that has obtained level 3 of the certification in Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Peru and the Philippines
  • The TMMi certification acknowledges the commitment to quality as a search engine for excellence and sustainability made by Minsait and Indra

Minsait, an Indra company, has succeeded in renewing level 3 of its TMMi certification, the international standard that measures and improves software testing and quality processes and activities at its Software Production Center in Manila under Indra Philippines, Inc. This further recognition for the company achieved at its hub in the Philippines comes after those it has obtained in four other countries, specifically at its production centers in Badajoz, Lleida and Salamanca (Spain), Pereira (Colombia), Joao Pessoa (Brazil) and Lima (Peru).

The implementation of the TMMi certification model at the Production Centers will improve the software testing process and provide greater stability and reliability and a competitive edge over other companies. Minsait thus positions itself as a pioneer in the use of the TMMi model, given that it’s the only company in the IT sector to obtain it for level 3 in the certified countries. Throughout the world there are approximately 60 companies that have obtained the TMMi certification, so its mere renewal constitutes a differentiating factor.

Likewise, the work methodology that’s applied incorporates a set of proposals for good practices that represent an added value when it comes to expanding the scope of certification to other areas of the company. Furthermore, not only customer satisfaction is improved in relation to the software delivered, but it also contributes to improving the perception among professionals that they have and understand the tools and resources suitable for performing their tasks more efficiently.

The renewal of this certification, which was due in April, has suffered a delay lasting almost half a year as a result of the lockdown and mobility restrictions associated with COVID-19. Finally, the TMMi Foundation authorized the remote realization of the audits, which were conducted in a satisfactory manner at all times. The evaluation team highlighted the cooperation and involvement of the testing and quality teams in each country.

A search for excellence endorsed by certifications

TMMi (Testing Maturity Model Integration) is the international standard for the measurement and improvement of software testing processes and activities. The objective of this specialized model promoted by the TMMi Foundation is to optimize the quality of the software delivered to customers by means of a defined set of process areas, goals and practices. The certification represents recognition of the company’s commitment to quality as an engine for the pursuit of excellence and sustainability, as well as its ability to carry out and implement software development and maintenance projects with models, methodologies, procedures and highly demanding international standards.

The certification awarded by the TMMi Foundation has been obtained through the accredited MTP (System and Process Methods and Technology) consultancy firm, which specializes in digital business assurance services.
