Indra was again at the forefron of the 2017 European Utility Week - the European event dedicated to public water, electricity and gas services (utilities), which was held in Amsterdam (Netherland) between October 3-5.

Over 500 utilities and grid operators from approximately 100 countries turned up for this event as well as estimated 12,000 attendees with varying interests on the Utilities Industry. The main issues debated in many of the scheduled talks and conferences included, among others, the actual situation of the energy market, future trends, and possible threats and challenges which companies of the each utility industry sector face.

Hundreds of visitors showed up at Indra's stand to understand, the state-of-the-art solutions that the company develops -from generation plant management, energy and trading management, transport and distribution grid management, smart metering, commercial cycle and billing management, to energy services platforms. These solutions aim, among other aspects, to increase revenues of utilities by offering customers efficient and accessible information management, providing new services, and optimizing and shortening the commercial lifecycle, from measurement,  billing, and  up to collections.  These solutions are completely integrated in different, modular product suites that offer a comprehensive focus of the utility company's entire value chain.

Our AGM (Active Grid Management) solution was among those that sparked the interest and optimism. This solution, designed for operations and active monitoring of distribution grids, makes it possible to integrate distributed energy resources (DERs), storage, electric mobility and new services, like demand management, virtual plants, and microgrids. AGM creates a direct framework to easily transfer the benefits of the electricity system to the end consumer, who will see a reduction in monthly bills and an increase in supply quality and reliability, thus contributing to the system's sustainability.

The attendees interests were further boosted by the demonstrations and presentation of the following energy market solutions:

  • TEAM -> Transactive energy management platform.
  • InCMS -> One of the market's most advanced customer management and billing systems, with over 90 implementations worldwide.
  • InGRID -> The Indra management suite for Smart Grid & Smart Metering.
  • Our Smart Home and Smart Building solutions.
  • InGEN -> Suite for energy generation and management.
  • Products focused on digital training, based on Serious Games and Augmented Reality.

The most modern technologies in mobility, big data, internet of things, real time, augmented reality and cybersecurity, are optimally combined in these products to maximize their fullest potential as an advantage for utilities to obtain efficiency in business processes and operations, optimizing their asset life cycle and making possible innovative, attractive added-value services with the highest quality levels which customers and end users, immersed in the digitalization era, currently demand.

Indra will again participate in the 2018 European Utility Week that will take place in Vienna (Austria) next fall.  By then, it will continue its commitment to innovations designed to provide solutions to the challenges of a continuously changing market.
