“Resilient architectures: enhancing ATM business continuity”. “In an increasingly complex airspace, consequences of capacity unavailability are dramatic, and deploying resilient architectures that improve business continuity is essential. Virtualisation and data center architectures can boost the capacity available under a contingency situation and are no longer tomorrow’s technology, but today’s. Realising material and immaterial benefits requires smart tailored solutions and a strong focus on cybersecurity.”

  • 7th March, Wednesday, 13:30 – 14:00 – Speaker: Hugo Moen, Business Development Manager, GBAS

“GBAS – Tomorrow’s aircraft landing systems are getting closer”. Satellite based landing system, GBAS is expected to take over from the heritage Instrument Landing System in the future. With SESAR DMs decision to extend the results from Solution#55 "precision approach using GBAS Category II/III" into CP2, GBAS has taken important steps towards an operation realization with the  forecast for deployment at a number of major European Airports. As benefits and opportunities using GBAS are unraveled, an increasing number of ANSPs and airports are considering an implementation at their airports. Indra Navia has been active in defining the GBAS system for more than two decades and will present the status on GBAS GAST D. Indra Navia will also discuss the benefits and challenges we see with GBAS, and how the NORMARC 8100 GAST D GBAS Ground Station is designed to meet the future".
