Regino Moranchel, CEO of Indra and Charles Phillips, Chairman of Oracle Corp., signed an agreement to promote collaboration between both companies at international levels through commercial and technological activities

Excellence centres, promotion of trainings in new applications and technologies as well as growth in different sectors are main targets

Indra, Spain's premier IT multinational and one of Europe's most important, and Oracle Corp., the first software supplier for companies and public administrations worldwide and in Spain, announced an agreement to promote their technological and commercial activity in the international market. This agreement promotes and extents to a global scale the companies' commitment to cooperation which dates back to more than four years ago.

With this alliance, Indra will study activities to promote training its professionals in Oracle’s different solutions and will seek to establish internal activities as well as the most appropriate resources of their lines of business to strengthen the relationship between both companies. Besides this, the Spanish multinational will create Excellence centres with Oracle technology.

Oracle in turn, promises to cooperate in the development of Indra as a supplier and implementer of its lines of business as well as to include the Spanish company in its development programmes. The company is also considering the creation of management teams to boost Indra’s presence in the markets of Asia, North America and Europe and specific actions to increase the activities of both companies in different markets.

“The agreement is within Indra’s international growth strategy framework. We are confident that with Oracle new opportunities will arise in other countries, besides strengthening our alliance in Spain.”, said Regino Moranchel, Indra’s CEO.

By signing the contract, Charles Phillips, Chairman of Oracle Corp. reaffirmed the strategic importance of the alliance for Oracle’s businesses worldwide. Miguel Milano Aspe, Oracle Iberica’s General Manager pointed out other commitment issues within the agreement framework.

“With this agreement we aim at extending our business, making the most of synergies and of the position of both companies in various sectors and regions. The agreement will allow growth in a cooperative and planned way and to measure the results in two years.”
