LARS

The Aerial Photogrammetic Service of the Chilean Air Force (SAF) will organise the first Latin American Remote Sensing week Lars 2010-“South Explorers”, in cooperation with the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) and The Latin American Society of Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Systems. Indra will attend the event which will take place from 4 to 8 of October at Grand Hyaat Hotel in Santiago de Chile.

Remote sensors and geospatial data are becoming more important for decision making since the government, the local administration, non-governmental associations, the commercial sector, the academic community or the general public can solve issues from another perspective. For this reason LARS aims at offering the latest scientific and technology advances related to remote sensing. Besides this, the event will present a variety of applications, scientific exhibitions, and workshops with renowned lecturers and special guests.

LARS is a unique opportunity for researchers and application technicians of remote sensing as they can cooperate in the programming by submitting results of unpublished research thus contributing to the development of the geosciences and knowledge transfer.
