NBC Congress

Indra is participating in the NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) Defence Congress which is to be held on June 22 and 23 in the Auditorium Hotel in Madrid, and organised by the NBC Defence School of the Spanish Army.  In addition, the company will finance the publication of a book which will be distributed at the gathering, and will also have a stand which will provide information on its wide ranging technological offerings in the Defence and Security sectors.

The use of chemical agents in conflicts has added a new dimension to citizen security and raised awareness of this type of threat in other civilian sectors where up to now these risks were under the radar. This Congress intends to explore this new scenario while discussing the new advances in mitigating potential damage.

Topics that will be discussed at the Congress include the "Possibility of NBC agents being used in terrorist attacks”, the “National Anti-terrorist Centre for Coordinated Response to the NBC threat”, the role of international entities such as NATO and the EU, “Protection of response teams” , decontamination of victims, the medical assistance chain, and the deactivation of devices.
