From April 7 to 9, Zaragoza will be hosting the 11th Conference on Information Technologies for the Modernization of Public Administrations (TECNIMAP). Recognized as the leading European event for information technologies and telecommunications, this conference brings together representatives from different Public Administrations and major companies in the sector, along with a broad spectrum of specialists in the field. Indra is sponsoring and participating in this important forum for the exchange of information and ideas related to information technologies and public services.

The event has been organized by the Ministry of the Presidency, the Regional Government of Aragon and the City of Zaragoza, and will be held for the first time in Aragon's capital at the Zaragoza Trade Fair Center. The event is expected to attract around eight thousand visitors from Spain and various EU Member States, along with some three hundred participating companies and over a hundred media representatives, to participate in the round tables and workshops, and to use the large exhibition area for the presentation of related services, equipment and cutting-edge systems in this field.

TECNIMAP will also be opening its doors to the public with a tent that will be set up in Zaragoza's Plaza del Pilar, where people will be able to follow the different sessions of the conference and contribute with their ideas and opinions. Another new feature at this year's conference will be the acceptance of reports related to experiences and projects in the EU and its Member States, in a field in which EU initiatives are becoming increasingly important. Furthermore, a new award category has been created to distinguish an outstanding European project or initiative, along with the customary awards, as a way of acknowledging good practice in the sector.
