Indra Group showcases command and control systems, radars, telescopes and satellites for the comprehensive protection of the air and space domain at the Paris Air Show

Indra Group will attend the Paris Air Show, to be held from June 16 to 22, as a unique company in Europe, due to its ability to protect countries air domain and space assets by means of a comprehensive combination of proprietary systems and technologies, including satellites constellations, telescopes, radars covering all layers, functions and threats, anti-drone systems, and advanced command and control centers, providing an overview of the operational environment and allowing for the carrying out of highly effective missions.

According to Indra Group executive chairman Ángel Escribano, “Indra is a key strategic company for European defence that develops state-of-the-art systems to provide deterrence capabilities in all domains, ones which are essential for the performance of multi-domain operations. The company is driving its industrial capacity to increase its production in a more streamlined and efficient manner and guarantee real military superiority”. 

Indra will deploy an impressive immersive room at the Paris Air Show; it will be open to visitors in the static exhibition area, next to Indra’s social and networking space (area 196). In this room, with absolute realism, they’ll be able to observe how some of the world's most advanced command and control systems developed by Indra are operated. These include:

• The Anti-Aircraft Artillery Operations Center (COAAAS), a system designed to coordinate and manage anti-aircraft defence.
• AIRDEF, one of the continent's most sophisticated air command and control systems, currently being deployed by the company at the centers of the Spanish Air and Space Force.
• ECYSAP, a cybersituational awareness system that provides trailblazing capabilities in Europe for the planning and conducting of military operations in cyberspace.
• SUCCAUL, a sub-system for the surveillance, control and coordination in the LSS/U-space. 
• The Operational Analysis System, which can synthetically analyze military situations and scenarios, and emulate all kinds of systems to facilitate decision-making.

Indra will also showcase the following in the same static exhibition area:

• The MTR-10 tactic multifunction radar, a system capable of detecting, geolocating and identifying targets on the surface and in the air, with enormous accuracy and speed in multiple missions (early warning, (anti-)air defense, counter-battery, countermeasures against rockets, artillery, and mortars — C-RAM, etc. This system is designed for network operations and it can be mounted on a truck to ensure complete mobility and rapid repositioning for its protection.
• VALERO, Indra’s new weapons system based on a multi-purpose aerial vehicle that’s capable of carrying different kinds of payloads, depending on the mission, and ready to be launched from aircraft, ships or the ground.

Indra will also showcase its Mini4EO Earth observation satellite in Hall 2C Aisle E, stand 317, inside TEDAE’s pavilion for Spanish companies. This is capable of carrying different surveillance sensors to strengthen border protection, detect unlawful activities, and support strategic operations and ones carried out in remote areas.

In recent months, the company has launched Indra Space, a new subsidiary with which it aspires to become one of the key players in the sector and one of the few companies on the continent with the capacity to cover the entire space value chain, from manufacturing satellites and managing them from the ground to providing surveillance services and ultra-secure communications with proprietary satellites.

As well as boasting all of these capabilities, the company maintains its position as one of the global leaders in the development of radars to detect objects in space. These have been delivered to the Spanish Air and Space Force and they’re also being manufactured for the German Air Force (Luftwafe). In turn, these radars are complemented by the company’s advanced telescopes, which can extend surveillance to higher orbits to protect satellites and launches from the risk of impact with debris from other missions and other hostile actions.

Indra is also one of the coordinators of the Future Combat Air System (NGWS/FCAS) development program and one of the key companies in the development and evolution of the Eurofighter. 

It’s also progressing towards creating Indra Land Vehicles, a company that will focus on manufacturing military vehicles and tanks.
