Sao Paulo´s city

Indra, one of the global leaders in the technology and consulting sectors, has announced the launch in Brazil of Minsait, the company’s business unit focused on responding to the digital transformation challenges faced by companies and institutions. Brazil is the second country in Latin America and the fourth worldwide where Indra has decided to launch this business unit, and is testimony to the company’s strong commitment to the Brazilian market. Minsait combines the business consulting knowledge with the most advanced technologies to create a comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions that allows its clients to succeed in tackling the challenges of digital transformation (from strategy to implementation).

Minsait’s arrival takes place in a context characterized by the growing momentum of digital transformation in the country. Brazil’s economic background in the last years has forced companies to rethink their operations and reinvent themselves in order to boost profitability and competitiveness. A large number of companies have already taken their first steps in the journey to digital transformation. They need the right technological partners to accompany them during this process and help them obtain tangible impacts in the short and long term.

Minsait plans to start its operations with more than 300 dedicated experts, including new recruits and in-house staff, and will have the backing and support of multidisciplinary teams specialized in digital service solutions. These professionals with different specialization profiles will support clients in responding to the digitalization challenges in their business. In the next years, the company plans to further extend its capabilities and portfolio in Brazil, covering the new technologies that emerge, and including new professional profiles—such as new business and technology consultants, data scientists, experts in users experience and digital experts.

"Indra has become one of the most dynamic players of the Brazilian market, where it has been operating for more than two decades. With the launching of Minsait in Brazil, we want to boost the success of our clients and strengthen our positioning in the Brazilian digital transformation market, which represents a great potential to the company and to which we are firmly committed", Jorge Arduh, President and COO of Indra in Brazil.

"Indra is promoting Minsait in the country to obtain the success of other markets and to consolidate the company as the ideal partner for Brazilian companies and institutions to tackle the challenges of digital transformation. It is estimated that investments in digital transformation will amount to US$ 6.3 trillion between 2018 and 2020, and we believe that Brazil must capture the opportunity. This is the right moment to establish our digital transformation unit here", Wander Marques Cunha, Director of Minsait in Brazil.

The most complete value proposal

With the acquisition of digital transformation consultancy Paradigma (leader in the native digital format with agile work methodologies and an innovation culture) Indra has completed Minsait's value proposition. Minsait is now able to put together a unique and comprehensive offering that covers, end to end, the digital transformation needs of companies and institutions—integrating the business/digital areas, and the provision of services and products.

The new joint offering includes the following services:

  • Business consultancy;
  • Conceptualization and design of state-of-the-art solutions in which Customer Experience, Automated Operations, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security play a central role;
  • Development, implementation and operation of such solutions with a new-generation technology base working simultaneously with "legacy" or inherited technologies.

The Minsait catalog also complements the service with its own digital products in order to reduce transformation deadlines.

This new offering will allow companies and institutions to migrate in record time their information and technologies systems to "native architectures" in order to compete on equal terms with the digital giants.

Disruption, an opportunity for growth

Minsait, far from considering the disruption wave as a threat, focuses on identifying the ingredients that contribute to the decisive success of a transformation project and to generating business opportunities. There is no single formula, hence Minsait’s multidisciplinary approach (as explained in its "digital agenda"): transformation of the current business, creation of the future business and configuration of a portfolio of "bets" to test new clearly-disruptive concepts.

The multidisciplinary team of Indra's business unit is made up of more than 3,000 experts grouped into four lines of service: business consultancy, consultancy and digital technology, proprietary digital products, and cyber security. Minsait follows an "agile" work methodology that allows reducing times, reducing risks and developing projects that enable companies to compete with the digital giants in terms of innovation. The combination of the strategic and business view, the design of differentiated digital experiences, the deep mastery of emerging technologies—IoT, Big Data, artificial intelligence, robotics, APIfication, cloud, etc.—and a flexible and client-oriented corporate culture make it possible for Minsait to rapidly gain insight into the business and design of strategic plans of each company and institution.

Impact as the goal

The holistic approach promoted by Minsait requires, apart from the execution of transformation initiatives, a deep analysis of the corporate administration model.

There is something important in common between the products and business solutions in Minsait’s constantly-evolving portfolio: the vocation to impact. Efforts are focused on achieving the short and medium term results in areas as diverse as the unattended discharge of bank clients, the implementation a real-time control integrated system of urban services, or the redesign of the doctor-patient relationship through of telepresence systems, to name only a few real examples of successful projects developed by Minsait.
