Indra apoya a León como sede del Centro Europeo de Competencia Industrial, Tecnológica y de Investigación en Ciberseguridad

Indra demonstrates its full support for the Spanish proposal that the city of Leon should host the headquarters of the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Center.

Indra is a specialized leader in the cybersecurity market in Spain and Portugal, both in terms of turnover for its high value-added services and for its human talent, with a team of more than 1,200 cybersecurity specialists.

The company has a Center of Excellence in Security and Software Development in Leon and maintains a team of specialists who work for the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).

Indra believes Leon is a magnificent location to successfully host technology, business and R&D centers integrated into global European networks, thanks, among other factors, to the excellent Spanish telecommunications network, based on the most extensive fiber optics network in Europe. And in terms of attracting and retaining European talent, the quality of life that the city of Leon can offer is also remarkable.

The company thus confirms its full support for the Spanish proposal and expresses its commitment to work closely with the European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Center in Leon, if this proposal is finally chosen.

Specifically, Indra undertakes to participate in forging alliances in the field of cybersecurity between the public and private sectors, to contribute to the creation of European capacities in cybersecurity and to participate even more intensively in the cybersecurity ecosystem already underway through the expansion, strengthening and improvement of its facilities and capacities based in Leon.

Indra's firm commitment to cybersecurity was reflected last January with the acquisition of SIA. The merger of SIA with Indra's cybersecurity business gave rise to a leading company with a distinctive added value proposition, complete, integrated and with a global presence. Currently, its cybersecurity solutions are implemented around three main axes: digital risk management, cybersecurity services and solutions, and digital identity and electronic signature.
