Description of the Project
Military operations are facing unprecedented challenges, in which symmetric and asymmetric threats are combined with uncertain scenarios.
In this critical context, the use of manned and unmanned platforms in a joint multi-domain environment is a main pillar to answer the demanding requirements.
COMMANDS project addresses these challenges with the development of state-of-the-art technology, to build an intelligent and cooperative ecosystem between autonomous platforms (swarms) and manned vehicles. This development will provide enhanced capabilities from a System-of-Systems perspective that will be focused on autonomous mobility, swarm maneuverability, combat cloud, survivability, situational awareness and effectors or countermeasures.
The project focuses on key technologies for autonomous ground systems (UGVs), such as mission planning, man-machine and machine-machine interoperability, communications or artificial intelligence.
COMMANDS will be based on a solid modular concept of building blocks, originated by a design and engineering process, which will brings a technology demonstrator at TRL6/TRL7 maturity level.

Indra´s Rol
Indra will lead the functional and physical design of an intelligent command and control system, under which a modular, adaptive and AI-assisted solution will be developed.
In addition, the company will contribute to the development of the System-of-Systems concept and combat cloud services.
